Announcing Coding Changes for 2006

It's that time of year again - anticipated changes for coding professionals are being released.
  • CPT® has nearly 500 code changes including 277 new codes
  • ICD-9-CM nearly 173 new codes and hundreds of other changes
  • HCPCS has 326 new codes (that includes codes added during 2005)
ICD-9-CM changes are effective October 1, 2005. You no longer have until December 31st to begin using these new codes. (See "CMS Eliminates 90-day Grace Period" ).
