ICD-10 Update
InstaCode Institute announces the publication of an in-depth article on ICD-10 entitled ICD-10 Demystified. This article was written by InstaCode's own Wyn Staheli, a noted expert in medical billing codes and claims submission.
Staheli has been following the development and implementation proceedings of the new ICD-10 coding system by HCFA (Health Care Finance Administration, U.S. Govt.). ICD-10 is designed as an enhancement to and a replacement of the current ICD-9 coding specification.
ICD-10 will also include a PCS (Procedure Coding System) component that is designed as a replacement to the AMA's (American Medical Association) propritary and copyrighted CPT coding system.
